Peruvian zinnia
$ 4,50
Zinnia peruviana (syn. Z. tenuiflora), Asteraceae
This Peruvian zinnia is an easy-to-grow annual flowering plant with a long blooming period, giving us beautiful antique-red cut flowers for bouquets. This surprise zinnia is a cross between 2 Peruvian zinnias: 'Red Spider' and 'Red Peruvian'. The former is more beautiful when young, but less interesting at the end of the season than the latter, and the latter a little slower to bloom at first, but more beautiful after the flowers have matured, since the petals turn bronze as they fade... We're hoping for an improved line, visually interesting from the beginning to the end of the season.
