organic Black Plum tomato
$ 4,50
Solanum lycopersicum, Solanaceae
The 'Black Plum' tomato is a traditional Russian variety with fruit of the plum of a beautiful mahogany-red tanned hue with green brushstrokes on the shoulders. They grow in clusters of ten or so and produce well right up to the end of the season. The flavor is sweet and pleasant raw, but it's concentrated by drying or cooking, reduced to a thick sauce, that this tomato is at its best. Resistant to cracking. Good yield. Indeterminate growth habit that can be pruned or not. Maturity: about 78 days after transplanting.
