organic garlic chives
$ 4,50
Allium tuberosum, Amaryllidaceae
ciboulette chinoise, nira, bu pu, chinese chives
Garlic chives, also known as Chinese chives, have long been domesticated in Asia, and are perfectly suited to our northern gardens. We first appreciate its flat leaves, then the tender flower stalks that appear in late summer. The ones we haven't eaten will offer us the spectacle of a starry white bloom, supported by tufts of leaves that stand upright... A perfect candidate for making small borders that bring order to the garden. 30-60 cm. Hardy perennial up to zone 3.
