organic red-seeded citrus

$ 5,00

Citrullus lanatus var. citroides

watermelon, citronella, ginger, barbarine, meréville, red seeded lemon

Your great-grandmother may have cultivated this hardy runner with superb lobed foliage, which produces smooth, almost perfectly round fruit, beautifully marbled green-gold on a dark green background, 15 to 20 cm in diameter. The fresh flesh is white, hard and tasteless, but can be made into delicious candied fruits, jams or marinades. We have good harvests from direct sowing in June. 80-100 days.
