Cucurbita maxima, Cucurbitaceae
Hokkaido sweet pumpkin
Our pumpkin seeds produce beautiful, bright-red, spinning top-shaped fruits. It's a variety of squash with dry, sweet, yellow-orange flesh, rich in vitamins and trace elements. It has a fine aroma. Its very thin skin is quite edible. This home-grown line is as yet unfixed, resulting from a cross between 3 Japanese varieties productive in cool climates: Uchiki Kuri, Red Kuri and Akaguri. We can therefore expect some differences in format from one individual to another... Around 95 days maturity from direct sowing.
