organic orange pâtisson

$ 5,00

Cucurbita pepo, Cucurbitaceae

bonnet-de-prêtre, yellow bush scallop

Our orange pâtisson is an old French variety with smooth, flattened, orange-yellow fruits that resemble a flower. One of the best pâtissons. The flesh is fairly thick, yellowish, firm and not very sweet. The young fruit has a slight artichoke-bottom taste. Each plant produces many fruits if harvested young. They are eaten fried, sautéed, grilled or cold with vinaigrette. When ripe, they are good only until December, but can be kept all winter as a decoration. Squash bush = not creeping. Harvest from the 50th day.
