A slender member of the Banana tribe, North Georgia Candy Roaster winter squash is salmon-pink with a bluish upturned tip. It's a rare ancestral variety from the American Southeast, with excellent dry orange flesh, perfect for pureeing and traditionally used in pies. Fruits from 5 to 12 kg. 100 days to maturity from sowing.

Sow in warm soil (minimum 21°C), after any danger of frost, 1-2 cm deep, 1 to 3 seeds every 1.5 m. Leave 1.5 to 2 m between rows. Choose one seedling per planting. Harvest as late as possible (in this case, mid-October), from 2 to 5 fruits per plant.
