L’apios est comme une patate de la famille du pois, au goût sucré, qu’on peut oublier ou récolter annuellement. Il en reste toujours…

Afin d’éviter que les tubercules ne gèlent, nous ne pouvons vous les expédier durant l’hiver. Ils sont toutefois disponibles en boutique sur place durant l’hiver, pour ramassage. Plantez l’apios en avril-mai ou en octobre et conservez les tubercules au frigo en attendant la plantation.
They should be planted like a potato, one tuber at a time, about 4 inches deep.
At every foot, if the plant is growing on a high trellis. Every 3 feet if the plant is allowed to curl up on itself on the ground.
It is a very cold-hardy plant. Harvesting is good from the 2nd year onwards. It is advisable to peel the tubers to avoid ingesting the indigestible coating... always eat a new food in small portions to start with.
