Baquieu' is one of the hardiest and earliest lettuces. It's an old variety, mentioned as early as 1800, which produces cute little red and green heads that overwinter well from August sowing. An excellent early variety for spring/early summer, it is not suitable for midsummer.

Lettuce seeds germinate between 4°C and 24°C. Cover lightly and plump. Thin out 25 cm apart on the row, rows spaced 30 cm apart.
