Early Wonder Tall Top beet - organic
$4.50
Beta vulgaris, Amaranthaceae
'Early Wonder Tall Top' beet has been popular since 1911. It's really early and grows faster than other varieties in cool soil, which appeals to everyone, including the greengrocers... Its bushy foliage grows quickly too, at the end of mouth-watering red stems, which makes it particularly desirable presented in bunches. The dark-red roots are globe-shaped and slightly flattened, 7-10 cm in diameter when ripe, but they are at their best when picked ping pong ball size. 45-55 days.
pack = approx. 100 glomerules
