organic Calabrian Caviar bell pepper

$ 4,50$ 13,00

Capsicum annuum, Solanaceae

The 'Caviar Calabrese' bell pepper is the one you'll need to prepare an authentic Calabrian sardella: that delectable aromatic purée made from peppers, tomatoes and anchovies... This bright red, conical little fruit that points its nose skywards has the flavor of a chili pepper without the spiciness... a bit like its Basque equivalent the piquillo pepper, only smaller. Crunchy and fruity when eaten fresh, its exceptional flavor lasts when dried, stretching its eating season all year round. Mid-late season... Around 80 days to maturity after transplanting.
