Cichorium intybus, Asteraceae

Far from Veneto, you can still enjoy an exquisite, tender, crunchy raddicchio (raw or cooked) thanks to this line of Rosso di Treviso open-pollinated chicory, fairly uniform, with interesting variations. Beautiful, elongated apples in various shades of purple with contrasting white veins. Harvest in autumn. This variety tolerates light frosts.
