Lepidium sativum, Brassicaceae
garden cress, cultivated passerage
Watercress is a hardy annual that loves cool temperatures but has a very warm flavor. It's excellent in mescluns or as a star in a salad (with mangoes, for example) or as a garnish, to highlight the variations in the outline of its leaves. This vegetable is rich in vitamins A, C and K. Sow early in spring or autumn, knowing that it will last until snowfall. 20-25 cm. From 20-45 days to 70 days for the green vegetable.
