organic Greek oregano
$ 4,50
Origanum vulgare subsp. hirtum, Labiatae
Greek oregano is a powerful oregano with an excellent flavor. A far cry from the pink-flowered oregano that grows wild in many gardens... with a disappointing taste. This one is adorned with discreet little white flowers. Hardy perennial in zone 4. 20-30 cm. Flowers at 90 days.

Sow indoors, just below the surface of the compost, 6-8 weeks before transplanting. Germination: 7-14 days at 18°C. Not too hot, as excessive heat inhibits germination! Transplant every 30 cm. Harvest when the tiny pinkish-white flowers open.
