Misato Rose winter radish - organic
$4.50
Raphanus sativus, Brassicaceae
One of the most beautiful winter vegetables, 'Misato Rose' radish steals the show every time on the table, in the same vein as the 'Red Meat' and 'Watermelon' cultivars... Thinly sliced and sprinkled with a little salt, it's a perfect dish just as it is, with a flavor that's sometimes mild and sweet, sometimes more spicy, where the bright green skin contrasts cheerfully with the fuchsia-tinted flesh. A good candidate for grating into coleslaw or carrot salad, for fermenting, braising... Sow in July only, for an autumn harvest. Store and eat all winter long.
