organic Japanese samphire
$ 5,00 – $ 15,00
Salsola komarovii, Amaranthaceae
In search of seeds for agrettiIn addition to the wild or cultivated samphire enjoyed in Italy in spring, we've discovered Japanese samphire, a traditional Japanese vegetable that grows naturally in the salt marshes there. However, it is perfectly tolerant of a less salty environment... A container on your balcony? These long, crisp succulent leaves form such dense vegetation that it looks like a small, pruned shrub. They only flower in short days at the very end of summer, but it's best to eat them before they become fibrous: we eat them young in salads, or in sushi, or steamed, or in pasta dishes...
