This species of squash needs a lot of heat for germination and production. It will therefore benefit from a protected environment such as a greenhouse, a tunnel or an urban microclimate... It is resistant to insect pests, and gives us both an excellent fresh vegetable when immature, like a soft zucchini, and when ripe a fibrous fruit that can be used as an ecological sponge once dried. Maturity: 100-120 days in full sun.
