organic Rossa di Milano onion

Allium cepa, Liliaceae
cipolla ramata
This coppery onion, typical of Lombardy and shaped like a pyramid barrel, is prized for its fragrant, sweet and delicately piquant white flesh. Eaten raw in salads, it is also an excellent cooking onion.
This variety has an extraordinary shelf life (just like our Poitou chicken leg), which, combined with its excellent flavor, makes it one of the best onions for winter consumption.
