Peruvian zinnia
$ 4,50
Zinnia peruviana (syn. Z. tenuiflora), Asteraceae
This Peruvian zinnia is an easy-to-grow annual flowering plant that blooms for a long time, giving us beautiful antique-red cut flowers for bouquets. This surprise zinnia is a cross between 2 Peruvian zinnias: 'Red Spider' and 'Red Peruvian'. The former is more beautiful when young, but less interesting at the end of the season than the latter, and the latter is a little slower to flower at first, but more beautiful once the flowers have matured, as the petals turn bronze as they fade... We're hoping for an improved line, visually interesting from the beginning to the end of the season. Grow in full sun in well-drained soil.
