organic pipicha
$ 6,00
Porophyllum tagetoides, Asteraceae
Pipiche, Pepicha, Chepiche
Pipicha is like a more intense version of cilantro, with lemony, aniseed notes. A little like papalo, but with much thinner leaves. It's mainly used in its native Oaxaca in salsa verde, meat and corn dishes... it's a very particular spice: you either like it or you don't... we love it! Easy to grow and very drought tolerant, the plant has a lavender-like habit, with linear glaucous foliage and purplish flower buds. A tender perennial that can be grown as an annual, it is frost-sensitive. Approx. 30 cm high.
