$ 4,50
Tilia cordata, Tiliaceae
Wood lime, heart-leaved lime
The small-leaf linden is a very attractive European tree species. As well as spreading out into a beautiful pyramid shape, its dense foliage provides pleasant shade in hot weather. We eat the young leaves in spring as vegetables, and they are delicious. Its blossoms perfume midsummer with an addictive fragrance. Young flowers make a valuable herbal tea.
