organic Sart Roloise tomato
$ 4,75 – $ 16,00
Solanum lycopersicum, Solanaceae
The 'Sart Roloise' tomato is a fairly recent creation (2012) whose atypical elegance leaves no one indifferent, and what's more, its flavor is excellent! Fruity, juicy, complex, with a good dose of acidity: a delight.
Roland Boulanger of Sart Eustache, Belgium, is responsible for this variety, a cross between 'White Wonder' and 'Baby Blue'. The yellow-like-white-vanilla fruits are round, a little flattened, with delicately ribbed shoulders, covered with indigo brushstrokes. Medium to large, generally 200 g to 350 g but sometimes up to 500 g. The white flesh is firm and dense, with several cavities like other beefsteak varieties. Mid-season maturity, first fruits ripe around 75 days after transplanting. The indeterminate plant is tall and slender, very airy, with a stem strongly tinted purple at the start of the season. The fruit skin is thin but only slightly cracked. Easy to grow, and not susceptible to blossom end rot.
