Turkey poppy is a hardy, cheerful perennial with hairy leaves and semi-double orange poppy flowers all season long. It flowers from the first year and reseeds itself. Drought tolerant. 30 cm high.

Unlike annual plants, which have to reach maturity in a certain number of days, there's a lot more latitude in the sowing period for perennials... You can sow this poppy as early as March if you're in a hurry and have the required indoor space, otherwise you can sow it outdoors in May-June. This perennial poppy won't reach full growth in the first year anyway.
Press seeds onto the surface of potting soil and store between 15°C and 20°C. Direct sowing or in trays for transplanting.
