Rheinau Gold organic zucchini

$ 4,50

Cucurbita pepo, Cucurbitaceae

In the search for the perfect open-pollinated yellow zucchini, one variety stood out in our trials: Rheinau Gold, developed by Sativa Rheinau in Switzerland.

Its zucchini are thin-skinned, light yellow, on compact plants with beautiful decorative foliage with silver patterns: fruits that keep their ideal size for a long time, and don't get too big as soon as your back is turned, as is the case with other varieties... and production lasts a long time! Harvesting is easy, as the leaves are not too numerous, leaving a clear view of the contrasting yellow zucchini. First fruits harvested around 40 days after direct sowing.

We've focused our selections on skin fineness, eliminating individuals with thicker, more orange epidermis, as well as traces of green on the shoulders. Our starting stock is Rheinau Sativa via Meadowlark Hearth, then Adaptive Seeds in the USA.
